Tiny Tales

There is more to Stony Layne than what first meets the eye. Behind every cone hat, candlelit window, peculiar little creature, and mischievous grin lives a story. Sometimes they are sweet, sometimes strange, and often touched with just a little bit of magic.

The Tiny Tales of Stony Layne are glimpses into that world: a growing collection of my original characters & the curious places they live. Adventures inspired by the pieces I create. Here, pumpkins have personalities, skeletons keep secrets, witches wander beneath autumn moons, and even the most peculiar souls can find somewhere they belong.

So wander slowly. Peek behind the curtain & meet our residents. And should you hear a rustle from somewhere just beyond the page…you may want to follow it.

Mummbles The Mummy

Mummbles hails from of the ancient tombs of Mummytown, where little mummies learn the art of spooky walking, moaning, and wrapping. But unlike the others, he’s a bit clumsy. His bandages are always slipping, he’s constantly finding knots, and he tends to giggle when he tries to “moaaan.” The elders say he’ll grow into a fearsome mummy one day… but for now, he’s much too busy having fun with his misfit monster friends as they stumble into mischief.

Mossy Snowpuff

In the quiet heart of the winter woods wandered Mossy Snowpuff, the tiny snowboy with a tree for a hat and a shimmer at his collar. The forest liked him, everyone knew. Tree branches bent just so when he passed. And this morning, beneath a sparkle of frostlight, a little spruce glowed as if calling his name. With a delighted gasp, Mossy gathered it up, certain it was a wish-tree meant only for him. And so he carried it home, humming a tune the forest had taught him... for magic always finds those who believe in it most.
